Benjy is a young orphan of Southsward, having lost his parents to Nagru's horde. He is the adopted son of Burrom, adopted/adoptive brother of Figgs and Wincey, adopted son of Gael and Serena, and adopted brother of Truffen. Along with his mother and sisters he is marooned on the Island of Wrecked Ships, with the four of them living in a small tent near the cove. After Burrom passes away from a head injury he does his best to care for his siblings, then they are rescued by Joseph's crew. Thanks to his geographical knowledge of Southsward, he acts as a scout when they arrive in the kingdom. After Nagru's death he and his sisters are adopted by Gael's family.
