Bell Tower, The

This tower at Redwall is where the Joseph Bell is hung until Matthias purposely cuts the rope holding it up to fatally crush Cluny, then the twin bells Matthias and Methuselah are raised. It is constructed from the dismantled corsair ships Blacksail, Crabclaw, Nightwake, and Waveblade. The creature responsible for ringing the bell(s) is called the Abbey Bellringer, and before it is built Amber and Dandin beat on a hollow log. The bell(s) toll to announce meals, danger, weddings, and deaths.
