Barkstripe is a resident of the southwest until he moves to Brockhall. He is the husband of Bella, son-in-law of Boar, father of Sunflash, great-great-grandfather of Rawnblade, and becomes leader of the woodlanders after Boar leaves for Salamandastron. Along with many others he is killed in the first battle against Verdauga, and later appears in his son's dreams encouraging him to travel to the mountain so he can fulfill his destiny.
