Bankrose is a resident of northern Mossflower where she lives with her Skipper father in an otter holt. When they are Dibbuns she and her best friend Firjak are captured by corsairs, but her pal frees himself and kills the guards before rescuing her and climbing up a sycamore tree. Thanks to their heroics of defeating the vermin with pebbles and a sling, the otters and squirrels become allies.
