Atunra is a resident of Green Isle and serves as Felis's aide, having been loyally at his side since their young seasons. She also appears to possess some healing knowledge as seen when she does her best to treat his horrific wounds suffered when he is attacked by Pandion, though despite her efforts she cannot get rid of his facial scars. When Felis and Pitru split up to search for the otterclans the former orders her to remain behind and keep an eye on the latter, and she constantly irritates Pitru with her refusal to disobey Felis's rules even though he is not actually there at that time. Upon orders from Pitru, she is killed by Yund and tossed into the fortress lake where Scaut later discovers her grisly remains. Her death is eventually avenged by an enraged Felis when he has Yund executed. Atunra is the only female of her species to appear in the series.
