Attic, The

This region of Redwall, located above the Dormitories (connected here via a spiral staircase and long corridor) and below the Roof, is found on the Abbey's north side with its rock crystal window looking south; a mouse carved into the stone above the window and a ledge below it can also be found here. It receives daylight thanks to the aforementioned window and features various items of furniture such as a large armchair and wall cupboard. In Salamandastron it is turned into a makeshift Infirmary when the Abbey is ravaged by Dryditch Fever. At some point prior to the events of Pearls of Lutra it is home to Fermald but essentially forgotten after her passing until it becomes the main area when the Redwallers search for the Tears of all Oceans, as the majority of Fermald's clues regarding the pearls are found in or around the place. Afterwards it becomes a homely room for elders to relax.
