Ashnin is an old resident of the island in the middle of the Great Inland Lake (later known as Marlfox Island) and expertly wields a bow. She is supposedly a former captive of the same fox gang that bothers Dumble and Thrugg, and travels to Salamandastron where she participates in the final battle against Ferahgo's horde.
