Ambrevina - better known as Ambry - is a young resident of the Eastern Shores where she lives with her parents and three brothers. Her surname presumably comes from the fact that her family is famous for their expertise in using a sling, and like most badgers she often dreams of Salamandastron. After her father passes away she leaves her home as she and her siblings struggle to co-exist, so she heads to Mossflower where she meets and befriends Flandor. When he suddenly vanishes she searches for him but ends up lost in the woodlands, and upon meeting Diggs she learns of the Ravagers army kidnapping young woodlanders. The two decide to look for the missing youngsters and eventually find them being held prisoner by Triggut in the middle of some watermeadows, however after freeing them she learns of Flandor's murder by Vilaya and swears to avenge him. She later arrives at Redwall and participates in the final battle where she shows off her physical strength and ability to use a ballista, later joining Axtel in the pursuit of a fleeing Vilaya. As the warrior mole is wounded and cannot continue on she keeps running, catching up to the Quean and leaping onto her from behind. As she turns Vilaya over to kill her she discovers the crystal sheath containing the dagger has broken and pierced the sable's flesh, sending the adder venom directly into her bloodstream. Ambry leaves the twisted body on the path, carries Axtel back to Redwall, and later travels to Salamandastron with Buckler and Diggs where she is trained to fence with the Kordyne broadsword. She presumably succeeds Brang as ruler.
