Amber is the tough leader of a squirrel tribe who are considered to be expert archers. She is best friends with Warthorn, kills Fortunata with help from Mask, loses an ear to one of Bane's mercenaries, participates in the Great Mossflower War, and teaches Columbine how to use a bow. Seasons later she becomes one of Redwall's first residents.
