Wolfbane

Appears In: Martin the Warrior and Outcast of Redwall




This deadly herb is found in Mossflower and kept in the Infirmary cupboards by Farrow. It is used in at least two instances in the Redwall world: once when Badrang poisons a flask of grog in a failed assassination attempt against Clogg, and when Veil poisons oat-and-barley water intended for Bunfold but instead he ends up poisoning Myrtle. It is possibly based off of two real-life plants: wolfsbane (a purple plant that, if eaten or put on skin, can be fatal) and wolf's bane (a tobacco often used for sore or stiff muscles).
